Five years ago, three kinds of fighter guys stood on the deck of America’s Flagship. One had been privileged to fly the FA-18 Hornet, one had been forced to fly F-14 Tomcats (it’s not all beer and skittles, you know) and the third had flown F-4 Phantoms.
Five years later, the guys who stayed in the service had each been promoted one pay grade and remained happily devoted family men, pillars of the community, etc. Enjoyed normal, you know: Relations. That way.
The guy that got out? In prison.
Stay Navy.
Here endeth the lesson.
