Which your host is on the road for the next cuppla, and will be mostly off the grid, leaving the keys in it for your use and don’t make me come down there.
As a discussion sparker, I’d like to leave you with a few things:

I’m only the messenger
A couple was invited to a swanky costume party. The Mrs. got a terrible headache and told her husband to go to the party alone. Being a devoted husband protested, but she argued and said she was going to take some aspirin and go to bed and there was no need for his good time being spoiled by not going.
He took his costume and away he went. The wife, after sleeping soundly for about an hour, awakened without pain and, as it was still early, decided to go the party.

We were only ever awkward allies with Pakistan, whose security services sponsored the Taliban in neighboring Afghanistan that in turn accepted a significant al Qaeda presence which in the end enabled the 9/11 attacks upon this country. Although Pakistan – one senses, reluctantly – became a partner in the Afghan fight, relations have been fraught, perhaps never more than today. The Pakistani military was humiliated by the no-notice raid on the bin Laden compound, the people resent drone strikes in the FATA as an assault on national sovereignty and there is probably something or other to do with the Jews. Or whatever.
In California at least, go by any strip mall and if there is a manicurist, the odds are overwhelming that the owner and employees are Vietnamese. In fact, I have never seen one in years that wasn’t staffed by Vietnamese.
I always wondered why this was inevitably so, and yesterday got my answer.
