    No matter what the outside temperature is, it takes “some getting used to”when you jump in the ocean.

    Alaska current.

    I always liked Ocean Beach.

    • I was in the water year round in a spring suit. 53 degree water doesn’t sound cold, but the beach showers felt toasty and it took a half hour under the car’s heater for my toes to regain feeling. At least it gave me a reference point for Utah winters!
