What can you say to a 13 year old boy….

…whose father was murdered for the sole reason of being an NYPD cop?

I’m trying to think of something.

But there really is nothing you can say.

I had heard on the radio that the father, Rafael Ramos,  was working overtime to get his son something special for Christmas when he was partnered with Officer Liu – both murdered.

NY Post article is here.

His 13 year old son, Jaden, wrote the following Facebook entry:

“Today I had to say bye to my father. He was their for me everyday of my life, he was the best father I could ask for. It’s horrible that someone gets shot dead just for being a police officer. Everyone says they hate cops but they are the people that they call for help. I will always love you and I will never forget you. RIP Dad.”

There are evil people in the world…

Think what NYC – and everywhere else – would have been like without those who put their lives on the line every day for the safety of others.

  1. So sad. Pray for the young man, he has lost his father and friend.
Our nation needs a leader who can put people together because of their goodness.
