And we are prepared:
Two bottles Cabernet Sauvignon (Yellow Tail, Oz), two oranges (peeled and sliced), one half cup of brandy, 15 cloves, one and one-third cup honey, half a dozen cinnamon sticks, 2 teaspoons fresh ginger.
Combine all ingredients in a deep pot and warm gently – don’t let it boil! – stirring occasionally until blended and steamy.
Serves eight normal people, or four naval aviators.
