Another job has just opened up in Mesopotamia. An executive position as it turns out:
(The) American military released a statement verifying that Mr. Baghdadi was killed in a joint raid between Iraqi and United States forces in the dark hours of Sunday morning near Tikrit, near Saddam Hussein’s hometown.
Also killed, according to Mr. Maliki and American officials, was Abu Ayyub al-Masri, the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, also known as Al Qaeda in Mesopotamia, a largely Iraqi group that includes some foreign leadership.
Both men were found in a hole in the ground.
Al Masri wanted to spend “more time with his family.”
Update: More positions available!
US and Iraqi forces have killed another al-Qaeda in Iraq leader in northern Iraq, officials say.
Ahmed al-Obeidi died in an operation in the northern province of Nineveh, Iraqi military spokesman Maj Gen Qassim al-Moussawi said.
The news comes the day after the government announced two leading insurgents had been killed.
