In Remembrance

Under the wide and starry sky,
Dig the grave and let me lie.
Glad did I live and gladly die,
And I laid me down with a will.

This be the verse you grave for me:
Here he lies where he longed to be;
Home is the sailor, home from the sea,
And the hunter home from the hill.

Requiem – Robert Louis Stevenson

  1. Old AF Sarge

    Guy Kawasaki was on the same trip as your picture above. He wanted to ask Lex some questions, but when Lex went to the bow, he demurred, seeing Lex wanted some time to himself. This reticence was very uncharacteristic of Guy, but it shows that Lex had a veil of severe gravity.

    Man what the rest of us wouldn’t have given to be on that boat, or have a ride with Lex in the Varga.

    Speaking of Gravitas Sarge, Lex alludes to that in his essay of Coaching Soccer when he “assumed the mantle” and the other fathers were hesitant in criticizing any of his decisions.
