I’ve had it with this jerk!

Never, never, never in my life would I ever, ever, ever consider being disrespectful to the Commander In Chief of the United States Armed Forces. Ever.

But today, enough is enough.  Bozo Number One insulted the Marines. He’s a jerk.

A coffee cup salute for those rendering honors.

This looks like a Saturday Night Live skit. But it isn’t.

I’ll watch the comments with interest. Complete and total disrespect for those Marines. He’s an a$$ – such an embarrassment.

Those of you who are on Facebook pass this post around, the more comments the merrier. Those who actually voted for the man with coffee cup may apologize first and then comment.

Obama’s character seems to me quite similar to that of Lord Cardigan (of Crimean War Light Brigade fame) as portrayed in one of George MacDonald Fraser’s “Flashman” novels:

“His nose was beaky and his eyes blue and prominent and unwinking – they looked out on the world with that serenity which marks the nobleman whose uttermost ancestor was born a nobleman, too. It is the look that your parvenu would give half his fortune for, that unrufflable gaze of the spoiled child of fortune who knows with unshakeable certainty that he is right and that the world is exactly ordered for his satisfaction and pleasure. It is the look that makes under-lings writhe and causes revolutions. I saw it then, and it remained changeless as long as I knew him, even through the roll-call beneath Causeway Heights when the grim silence as the names were shouted out testified to the loss of five hundred of his command. “It was no fault of mine,” he said then, and he didn’t just believe it; he knew it.”

Whether or not this is a fair description of the historical Cardigan, I think it’s a pretty good description of Obama.

  4. I saw this just a bit ago. There is nothing civil to say about it, and I think even Hillary, God forbid she should ever ascend to the Presidency, would never do anything so blatantly disrespectful.
The saddest part of all is that many Americans have grown accustomed to Barry’s flippant behavior, and no longer even take notice!

  5. Ugh… I thought that this Bozo could find it in him to at least ACT like he cares… God Bless the day this Joker is no longer the Commander in Chief of the greatest military in the world!

My neighbor had an interesting history as a Marine. For awhile, he had guard duty at Camp David, during Reagan’s time.

Said Reagan – an avid horseman, would ride up to the perimeter at the fence – and just talk to him – see how he was doing.

That left an impression on Mike.

I am sure most of the military sees him as a jerk but of course they can’t say so publicly.

    Ditto for the Secret Service.

Obama is as much a jerk as Reagan was revered.

Think a million will turn out for his funeral in the distant future – as they did for Reagan – 20 years after he left the Presidency?

    Me neither.

Remember – before Reagan there was Carter.

Jimmy’s probably resting easy these days now that Obama is in the White House.

The blue ribbon for most incompetent now goes to Barrack.

It is sad that the country has to go along for the ride but then they picked him.

At least I don’t have to admit to that.

My list of appropriate Anglo-Saxon terms is considerable, but only one mono-syllabic four letter word sprang to my mind, and onto my lips, when I saw this.

  8. Dang. I’m a day late and a dollar short: the vid has been taken down. But I don’t doubt for a millisecond that this was world-class asshattery.
