When I went thru AE “A” school (NAS Jax) there was an F7U in the hanger that we used for OJT. It impressed me. I didn’t know much about Naval aviation. I recall one on display outside an NAS gate but I don’t recall where.
It looked better than it apparently flew apparently – but I was surprised about the hood ornament –
