Watching the Riots

It hurt me to look at this photo, given my acrophobia.  I can’t imagine climbing down from there… let alone climbing up.

Buck that picture looks sorta surrealistic! I had a similar experience in Guatamala climbing the pyramid at Tikal. The climbing part was easy – looking back down I realized that (a) those guys had little feet (b) that angle is so steep that if I fell I would roll, bones would be crunchling all the way to the bottom. So I got on my back and on all 4s climbed down like a spider.

Figured it was better to lose dignity than my life.

Wouldn’t work for his Egyptian pyramid, I’m afraid.

Like you I have a bit of acrophobia.

    Not full blown but there.

Heh. I used that approach a LOT when I had to climb antennae, a condition o’ employment in my AF job as a radar guy. I left my fingerprints in steel and aluminum ALL over the Free World.

    What a cure for constipation.
