    As long as I am here, I’ll tell you a story a retired firefighter told me.

    Whenever you think you have had a “bad day” think of this poor guy.

    I suppose I had better leave names and locales out.

    Anywho, he (the firefighter) received a call – a man was working on his vehicle (under a floor jack – bad idea) – and naturally the floor jack collapsed (causing the call 😉 )

    The EMTs get out , the man’s chest is crushed, heart stopped and breathing stopped.

    They manage to get him going – both heart and breathing, and call for a Medivac helicopter.

    Helicopter arrives, patient is loaded and off they go to the hospital.
    En Route, the helicopter developed engine trouble, the pilot is going into auto rotation, and the crew (and medical attendant(s) have to assume the crash position.

    Patient didn’t make it.

    But that, I have come to believe, is the prototype bad day
