    With the deck tossing – going up and down – and having to add – or decrese power – to stay on the glideslope – I have often wondered how they keep on the glideslope when the “runway” is bouncing up and down?

    Man that stuff – seeing it up close as the LSO – seeing a plane coming in below the deck would give me a heart attack – and final thoughts – “I’m farked

    This particular post reminds me that I learned nearly ALL I know about Naval aviation from Our Lex. You might think that’s hyperbole from someone as advanced in age as I (and someone who NEVER missed a single WWII flick), but believe me: it’s NOT.

      Buck – not only the knowledge he imparted – but the mental image he gives – I was just picturing that LSO – imagine seeing some plane maybe 100-200′ from you – on a collision course with the stern – and you are right there –
