Lex didn’t do anything we all haven’t done a one time or another – put our foot in our mouth. His instructor was a big man for admitting it was him – and moving on without retribution – and Lex was a big man for telling the story (and showing his own fallibility)
That’s hilarious… really. What are the odds? Lex had a way of relaying mistakes/foolishness in a way that made the incident no more than it actually was, and didn’t shred the dignity of anyone involved. Thanks for posting this – it was before my time and I don’t know when I would have gotten to it. 😉
