I feel closer to Lex having gone to UVa. On the cancer treatment, just read about it last night – a girl with leukemia – no hope – in remission by taking some of her (blood?) – genetically altering it just a bit, reintroducing it and her immune system attacked all of the blood cancer cells. It is still experimental, and it isn’t working for everyone, but it is successful enough to be promising.
So Lex’s golf friend has been busy and productive.
As I have read Lex’s writings I am thinking that here is a man who really embraced life, did what he wanted to do, no regrets. Some of the stuff was dangerous but he was undeterred, and approached it in an intelligent, risk management sort of way.
But thinking of buying an airplane?
If he thought boat ownership was a hole in the water through which he throw money, try an airplane.
