    Lex takes you there – aren’t these qualifications done off Florida?

    I take it the LSO is God on the deck –

    To have become qualified for carrier landings has to have been as memorable as one’s solo.

      I could be wrong (bein’ Air Force and all that), but even God has to “call the ball” coming aboard. (Though I’m sure the Good Lord always catches the 3 wire and never, ever bolters.)

      So yes, the LSO is pretty important.

    • Indeed, Bill – the Lexington was out of Pensacola.Used to see her all the time when I was down there in 84/85.
