Had his Lexness been writing for today, I am sure he would have taken the opportunity to note the occasion of a very special wedding of a dear friend of all Lexicans, and indeed all military families.
She of many names and contributions, “Fuzzybear Lioness,” USO girl, Soldiers’ Angel, Sheepdog caretaker and proud American, aka Beth whatzername was also a driving force behind Project Valour-IT, providing voice activated laptop computers to wounded servicemen and women to aid in their recovery. This is part of the outstanding services provided via Soldiers’ Angels.
She would probably resist any attempts on our part to shower her with gifts on this matrimonial occasion, but she cannot prevent our showing our love and respect by contributing to Project Valour-IT. In the spirit of inter service rivalry (or is that ribaldry?) we have the opportunity to give via the service of our choice, but it all ends up in the same pot. This year the pot is not filling as quickly as it must to reach the $100,000 goal by 3 September.
Please join me in honoring Beth, and also our beloved and much missed Lex, with a generous contribution to Soldiers’ Angels Project Valour-IT. http://soldiersangels.org/fundraiser.html
