I gotta say the only reason I watched that series Black Sheep – wasn’t the plots or acting – it was to see those mighty F4s start up – smoking, belching, then 2,000 horses saying all was ready
If I recall correctly there were only 12 flying Corsairs when the show was filmed, and the series took either five or six of them depending upon the scene. I sometimes wonder which is better, burning up the hours on a show like that or burning them up hopping to air shows across the country.
Say what you want about the bad acting, they did budget in for maintenance and repairs. Something air shows tend to skate on.
