I had forgotten that he had introduced me to flash mobs. I still love them.

  2. Bill Brandt

There was also a famous one in Barcelona – they have a surrealistic quality about them

  3. Todd, once again thanks for doing the daily posts. I love reading them, but going back to the mothership and reading them en masse is too much for me and brings tears. Savoring them one at a time (I don’t have the self-discipline to ration my readings myself) is uplifting & a super way to start my day.
I also have to say that it’s even so much more fun to read the original comments, knowing now from the FB group who all these extraordinarily knowledgeable and funny people are!

I agree 100%. Having faces and real names plus knowing more and more about so many of the wonderful folks that made up Lex’s Commentariat – it makes the old comments so much richer. Especially when you suddenly put an onscreen name with the profile on FB.

    Speaking of flash mobs . . .

You may notice the young lady at the beginning; she is a respected member of the community. Unfortunately, her blog seems to have fallen upon hard times; I hope she’s doing alright.

Love this FM of Ravel’s Bolero ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrEk06XXaAw ) Echo Colocomment above. I still go by Mothership everyday just to give it hit incase there’s revenue for The Hobbitt.

    • Do we know if there is revenue? I have been visiting and reading the posts I missed… if there’s still revenue happening, that would be great.

  6. That’s hilarious …clearly not your run-of-the-mill Beyoncé sing along. Wonderful.
